'High Performance Flush casement' means that the opening window closes flush into the outer frame, an attractive and often required style for windows in conservation areas and listed properties. MB Woodcraft high performance flush casement timber windows offer a modern approach to the traditional style of window commonly found throughout Great Britain.
They are able to compliment both a modern or period home alike, whilst behind the scenes you can be confident that the windows will stand the test of the British climate. This is done by the addition of a high performance dual seal rebate for security and weather protection. Using concealed friction hinges and multi-point locking systems, yet still allowing the casements to sit in line with the frame itself, as with the conventional flush casement timber window.

1.2 U-Value U-Value measures how well heat is transferred by the entire window/door frame, sash and glass - either into or out of the building. The lower the U-Value number, the better the window or door will keep heat inside a building on a cold day. Our Window Systems have achieved a u-value as low as 1.2 [W/(m2.K)] in thermal simulations (accredited through BFRC)
We are certified by Whitehill for Part-Q compliance. Building Regulation Part Q came into effect on October 1st 2015, with compliance phased over 12 months, and affects any residential building, renovation or refurbishment project that requires planning permission.
Our factory applied paints and stains add more than just a wide range of stunning colours, the protective coats of micro-porous paint and stain are vital to the longevity of the windows and doors.
We use Teknos paint and coating products, which are water based, and comply fully with European VOC emission Standards and REACH regulations. Teknos paint and coating products do not contain lead, chrome or other heavy metal additives. A flexible, durable, micro porous protective film, resistant to bacterial, mould and UV attack. The paints and stains are guaranteed for10 and 7 years respectively but this depends on a location and weather conditions. With such a well applied protective layer, all that is required is an occasional clean and inspection to ensure that the paint is in top condition.
Our High Performance Flush Casement Windows are made from the highest quality sustainable timbers. We only purchase timber from suppliers who offer FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified products.

Rated as having a very good resistance to decay, admired for its beautiful grain, strength and its durability, Oak has been used for centuries for a vast range of a distinctive joinery projects, Here at MB Woodcraft we only use a specially selected Quarter Cut Oak for our exterior joinery products. This ensures that the natural tendency for wood to move is reduced to a very little or none. Most supplies of Oak come from sustainable sources.
A medium reddish brown appearance, this wood is known as a moderate to very durable in regards to decay resistance, and ones professionally coated becomes very stable, the interlocked and very dens grain its perfect for painted projects, a very smooth finish can be achieved, therefore it is widely used in window and door manufacturing.
Softwood is a less expensive timber than hardwood and often the choice of material when considering your budget. Not as durable and less stable compare to hardwoods. However with our factory applied coatings and properly maintained after it will prove its long lasting properties.
